Oxford University Rugby Football Union (a Constituent Body of the RFU) is looking to appoint a Rugby Development Officer. This position was newly created in the summer of 2011 to foster and support the growth of rugby in the University over the next three years.

The successful applicant will report directly to the General Manager and will work closely with all other members of the staff team and the Committee.

The role requires a highly organised individual who is self-motivated, able to work under pressure and without supervision, but also a team player with a sound knowledge and experience of rugby.

Key tasks will include, but not be restricted to:  the development of the college rugby programme; the creation of strong links with local schools & clubs; the co-ordination of the current academy programme & summer rugby camp. There is also the potential to initiate a residential summer rugby school.

This is an excellent opportunity for the right person to become part of a small team, working in a unique rugby environment.

This position is full-time (40 hours per week) on a three year contract with reviews at six and twelve months.

Ideally the successful candidate will be available to start work at the beginning of January 2013.

The salary will be negotiable dependent on qualifications and experience.

For further details and an application pack, please call the club on 01865 432000 or email ourfc@sport.ox.ac.uk

Closing date:  Wednesday 21st November 2012
