On Monday evening in the Pavilion at Iffley Road, John Carter (Kellogg) was re-elected as OURFC Captain for a third successive year to create a further piece of history at Oxford University Rugby Club. Having won on his two previous occasions as Captain, John will be looking to cement his place in the OURFC Annals with a third successive Varsity Match victory at Twickenham on Thursday 12th December 2013.
On his re-election, John commented “it is as much of an Honour this time as it was the first time and I will continue to work hard to keep OURFC moving forward whilst respecting the history of all that has gone before”.
The Blues first match of 2013 sees them at home to the RAF on Wednesday 23rd January, kick off 7.15pm and fitness permitting John is looking forward to leading the side out against the airmen at Iffley Road.
