Blues Squad to face Royal Navy

As the Iffley Road pitch is unfortunately not fit for a match this evening, the Blues once again hit the road as they look to continue a winning start to 2013 with a trip to Portsmouth to take on the Senior Services side – The Royal Navy. Following their morale boosting win against the Army last Wednesday, the bulk of the Blues side remains the same but their are debuts at this level for U21 Captain Tom Reeson-Price (St John’s) in the second row and Freshman Will Darby (St Edmund Hall) at hooker. Senior flanker James Harris (Kellogg) also returns and the club are delighted to welcome back Captain John Carter (Kellogg) to the match day 22 for the first time since the Varsity Match. Having lost to the Navy in Portsmouth last year, the squad are determined to reverse that result and return to Iffley Road for next weeks encounter with the Crawshays unbeaten in 2013.
Kick-off tonight is 1915 at the United Services Ground, Burnaby Road, Portsmouth.The squad:
