Blues Squad To Play Richmond

Following their preseason tour to France and Spain the Blues have their first fixture on home soil tonight against Richmond, kick off 1945 at the Athletic Ground, Richmond. Captain John Carter and his coaches have selected a side that includes ten Blues, including the whole of the back division, which sees local Richmond boy Matt Janney start at fly-half after his year abroad with his language studies. In the absence of Carter, James Harris will captain the side from the side of the scrum alongside two of last years successful U21’s Tom Reeson-Price and Fraser Heathcote in the back-row. Fresher Chris Williams has a place on the bench as replacement scrum-half.
