Miles Hockley present the OURFC jersey to Oxford RFC

Miles Hockley (Trinity) who won an Oxford Blue at scrum-half in 1975 is currently living and working in Canterbury, New Zealand and after a taking a couple of weeks to settle in decided to sound at the local rugby club and discovered to his delight that they are Oxford RFC! The clubhouse walls are adorned with various club and international shirts and Miles decide it would be great to add an Oxford University Rugby Club shirt to the collection; so he contacted his fellow Blue and former Kew neighbour, Reg Clark to see how to go about acquiring one. OURFC were more than happy to supply a spare current playing jersey which Reg was able to pass on to Miles when they met last year; Miles duly presented it to the Chairman of Oxford RFC, Canterbury – see photo – where it is now proudly on display alongside the other jersey’s on the clubhouse wall.
