The Blues play their first home of the season against old rivals Trinity College, Dublin at Iffley Road on Friday night, kick-off 7.15pm.
With a quick turn around of just four days until the next home match on Tuesday 15th October against Newport Gwent Dragons, Captain John Carter and Head Coach James Wade have an opportunity to look at a number of players over the two matches. On Friday the match day squad includes nine returning Blues, with hooker Nick Gardner and prop Lewis Anderson (Trinity) having their first taste of action following minor injury worries. Recently arrived Australian Rhodes Scholar Jacob Taylor (Keble) makes his debut for the Blues at fly-half, with Matt Janney (Oriel) moving from fly-half to outside centre. In the absence of Carter, last years Vice Captain James Harris (Kellogg) will captain the side from the side of the scrum.
