Following the convincing win at Ealing last week, the Blues squad have enjoyed a much needed week without a fixture, however they have been far from idle with the coaches and strength & conditioners working them hard in preparation for a series of tough matches to come starting with the visit of Worcester this Sunday. Captain John Carter was hoping to return this week, but on his return to full training he was hit with the gastric bug, which has down the rounds of the squad over the last two weeks! He will now delay his return for the visit of the Russians in a weeks time. With just five matches to go now until Varsity, competition for places is hotting up and this Sunday’s starting XV includes eleven Blues, with a further three close to a return from injury. As well as Captain JC, prop Hamish Macdonald and wing Henry Hughes are one or two weeks away from fitness, which will only increase the competition for places.
Kick-off is 3.00pm with entry £5 for adults and £2 for concessions. Anyone attending this match will be able to pick up a FREE ticket for the Russia match from the Varsity Match Ticket Booth adjacent to the west stand. Please note normal parking regulations apply on Sunday, for alternatives visit the Contact Us section of the website.
