OURFC will once again be supporting ‘Against Breast Cancer’ for its match against the HSBC Penguins, the UK’s premier touring club, at Iffley Road on Wednesday 26th February, kick off 7.30pm. As part of the fund raising activities on the day, the club will hold an exclusive jersey auction of the one off Pink Jack Wills playing jerseys, complete with #BeatCancer printed below the number, with proceeds going to Against Breast Cancer. The Blues have been hugely supportive of Against Breast Cancer’s work in the past, with proceeds from the OURFC annual calendar going to the Abingdon-based charity.  The 2014 version of the calendar sold out in a record time of just three weeks. OURFC captain Jacob Taylor commented, “The boys are proud to be supporting Against Breast Cancer for the second year running, and we’re hoping for a huge turnout to raise as much money as possible for the charity.  The one-off pink shirts look fantastic but I’m more than happy to hand over the shirt off my back to raise funds for ABC’s vital work.” Wendy Taylor-Hill, corporate manager for Against Breast Cancer, commented: “We’re delighted to be involved with the Blues once again. It’s great to be able to show our support for the Oxford team while raising the profile of our groundbreaking research, which is helping to find a cure for breast cancer. We are thrilled to partner with OURFC, and we’ll be cheering along on the day – good luck lads!” The Blues’ rivals, the HSBC Penguins, are the most travelled sports club in the world, and do a great deal of charitable work, with particular reference to the provision of sports coaching throughout the world for young persons.

Tickets can be bought on the day, and will be available at Iffley Road for £5 and £2 for concessions (over 60’s, under 18’s and students). Please note there will be no parking available at the ground.
