Will Rowlands (Pembroke) who has been a stand-out performer in the second-row for OURFC during the last three seasons, earning two Blues in the victories over Cambridge in the 2012 and 2013 Varsity Matches, has signed for London Wasps and will join them this summer on the completion of his final exams in Economics and Management. Prior to joining up with with OURFC, Will spent six months with the Northampton Saints Academy during his gap year, but rather than pursuing a professional rugby career at that point decided to take up his place to study at Oxford in October 2011.
Will is a local Oxford lad, having attended the Dragon School before moving on to Rugby School, where he came under the guidance of another Oxford local, Simon Brown the Master in Charge of Rugby. In 2013 Will was the OURFC Team Secretary and proved a strong off-field support to Captain John Carter throughout the 12 months.
