The Greyhounds gained their first victory of the season with an excellent performance against a strong London Scottish Academy side on a damp Wednesday night at Iffley Road. Despite a ‘wobbly’ scrum the Greyhounds were able to secure enough ball from line-out and loose play to run in seven tries in this victory based on a determined defensive performance and some strong finishing. Sean Morris making his annual guest appearance for the Hounds led the way with a brace of tries, Will Dace making his first appearance of the season following injury at full-back added one, as did centres Rory Trevelayn-Thomas Jack Calvert, whilst fly-half Kit Goodfellow also scored a try but could manage to convert only once.

The Greyhounds next match is against Witney in the Oxfordshire County Cup, originally scheduled for Sunday 9th November, it will now take place under the Iffley Road lights on Friday 7th November, kick off 8.00pm, entry will be fre with the Pavilion bar open for 6.30pm.
