The Blues will look to build on their impressive victory against London Wasps two weeks ago as they travel away to Clifton RFC to face Bristol on Tuesday night.
Oxford coach, James Wade, will want a repeat performance from his side and captain, Jacob Taylor, who put in a man-of-the-match shift to help earn his side the win against Wasps two weeks ago at Iffley Road. With just five games left until Varsity, Wade will be looking for performance over result as his side prepare for the big game against Cambridge. The Bristol side, led by academy manager Mike Hall, will consist of a mixture of Academy and guest players and are sure to provide stern competition for the Blues. Looking ahead to tonight’s clash, Hall, understands that the game will be a tough test for his young side. He did, however, note that he will be drawing on the experience of Ellis Genge who is an England U20 prop and Josh Ovens who has a wealth of Premiership experience. Both will be starting the game tomorrow against the Blues.
Bristol currently sit fourth in the Aviva A League and just come from a 31-27 win away to Northampton Wanderers.
Kick-off is at 7:15pm at Clifton RFC. If you are unable to come down to Bristol to support the boys, follow live updates on Twitter: @OURFCBlues.
