Keble Celebrate in time honoured fashion

On a glorious sunny Thursday afternoon at Iffley Road, Keble were crowned 2015 Mixed Touch Cuppers Champions after they defeated the medics of Osler House in the final, making it a ‘Double’ after their successful victory in the 15-a-side version of the game back in May. With 18 teams entered, meaning over 200 students participated across the afternoon, the 12th version of the event was once again an outstanding success and a fitting way to bring the curtain down on the Oxford University RFU 2014/15 season.

Quarter Finals:

Touch Courage (Mansfield) 0 v 2 Cunning Stunts (Lady Margaret Hall)

Osler House 3 v 2 Crosskeys (St Peter’s)

Keble 2 v 1 Touching Margaret’s Balls (Lady Margaret Hall)

Touching Cloth (St Catherine’s) 7 v 3 New

Semi Finals

Cunning Stunts 0 v 8 Osler House

Keble 3 v 0 Touching Cloth

Final

Osler House 2 v 4 Keble

OURFU would like to say a big thank you to all those who participated in this tournament and the regular Saturday Mixed Touch programme and in particular to our new RDO Joe Winpenny for his organization of such a successful Mixed Touch Programme in Trinity Term.

Enjoy the summer Oxford University rugby players.
