The University of Cape Town and Trinity College Dublin will contest the first World University Rugby Cup Final on Monday 21st September at Iffley Road, kick-off 4.30pm. UCT defeated the University of British Columbia 24 points to 12 in their semi-final while TCD defeated hosts Oxford University 21 points to nil in the other. This means Oxford will play UBC to determine 3rd and 4th place, while Waseda University form Japan will play New Zealand Universities in the 5th/6th place match and finally Oxford University Greyhounds will take on the Siberian Federal University in the 7th/8th place match.
