Action from the 2014 fixture, Oxford are in white

OURFC travel to Portsmouth to take on the Royal Navy tonight in their penultimate 15-a-side fixture of the 2015/16 season, kick off is at 7.15pm at the United Services Ground, Burnaby Road, PO1 2HB.

A combination of injuries and unavailability due to academic commitments means the squad travel as one of the youngest and least experienced in OURFC’s recent history, with just six Blues present. Captain Fergus Taylor is one of those unavailable due to concussion protocols, along with seven other Blues who featured against the Army at Iffley Road two weeks ago. However, this gives Taylor and Coach James Wade an opportunity to cast their eye over the burgeoning young talent at OURFC and find out who can press a claim for inclusion in the senior squad come September. Eight of tonight’s squad played for the OURFC Under 20’s in Saturday’s victory over Loughborough University Under 20’s and will be great experience for them ahead of their Varsity Match on Saturday 5th March.
