The OURFC Annual Dinner took place at St Hilda’s College on Saturday night with 127 guests enjoying good food, company and celebrating as ‘One Club’ the past season’s achievements both on and off the field. There were excellent speeches from the outgoing Women’s Captain Carly Bliss (St Edmund Hall) and the new Men’s Captain Fergus Taylor (St Catherine’s) which were followed by the end of season awards presentations.

There was also a special presentation made to Lewis Anderson (University & Trinity College) for his remarkable achievement of six consecutive Varsity Match Victories earning six Blues in the process, a record which we are sure will take some matching, let alone surpassing. Twelve of the sixteen members of the ‘Front Union’ from those six years were there to honour Lewis and present him with a magnificent framed collage with pictures, team lists, results etc. from the six years. Fortunately Lewis will be here for ‘one more year’ and whilst he will unfortunately be ineligible to represent the OURFC in The Varsity Match he will be able to pull on the jersey during the season, assist the development of the other front row players  and hopefully represent the Greyhounds in their Varsity Match.
