Ready for action!

As with most OURFC players, one is never quite sure what they get up to when they are not playing, training or studying, and current Blues second row Andrew Grant (Kellogg) is no exception. On the weekend of the 5th to 7th August, ‘Granty’ spent 40 hours on the bank of the Drayton reservoir, fishing for carp in the semi-finals of the 2016 UK Carp Championships! Come the weigh-in on the Sunday evening, Granty had landed 1841lbs & 9oz of Carp to finish runner-up by a meagre 5lbs and secure a place in the ‘Grand Final’ to be held at Brasenose 1 on the weekend of the 14th to 16th October. Could OURFC have it’s first ever UK National Carp Fishing Champion or do you know someone who has already achieved this accolade!?
