Action from last night's encounter at Iffley Road

The Men’s Blues had their first home match of the season at Iffley Road last night, when they hosted a strong Bristol Rugby XV, in front of a large, partisan crowd. Ultimately the Premiership outfit proved too strong particularly with their highly effective catch and drive line-out routine, which yielded four of their five tries but the home support were left in a positive mood with Oxford scoring the final try in the 80th minute . Captain Fergus Taylor and Coach James Wade had several positives to take away and mull over, not least a highly committed and strong defensive performance as they now look forward to the visit of Northampton Wanderers next Monday evening.
