Action from last night's encounter at Iffley Road

A very strong Northampton Wanderers side visited Iffley Road on Monday night and produced an impressive all round performance to inflict the Blues second consecutive defeat by Premiership opposition in a 8 days. With a mix of experience and youth the Northampton side arrived in a mood to take no prisoners, but the Blues stuck to their guns, defended resolutely and when they did have the ball showed a positive attacking intent. Post game both Captain Fergus Taylor and Coach James Wade felt there were many positives to take away from the fixture and that the performance overall was a step up from the previous week.

The squad now face a short turn around before they head to Zagreb to take on the Croatian National team on Saturday evening.
