The 2013 Greyhounds Cup Final squad

Another busy weekend of rugby for OURFC teams starts tonight when the Greyhounds take on Oxford Harlequins in the ¼ of the Oxfordshire County Cup at Iffley Road, kick-off 8.00pm. Coaches Johnny Fennell and Mike Rickner have been able to select a strong squad lead by prop Lewis Anderson, who due to Blues sport eligibility criteria, will not be available for the selection for the Blues this December at the Varsity Match. The Greyhounds will certainly not be taking the Harlequins lightly and will be keen to continue their cup run; as such they will look to continue to build upon some impressive recent performances as they build towards their own Varsity Match at Cambridge on Wednesday 30th November.

Starting XV:

1 Lewis Anderson (c) 2 Ed Hart 3 Hugo Lu 4 Hugo McPherson 5 Graeme MacGilchrist 6 Ollie Adams 7 James Beaufils 8 John Aaron Henry 9 Rob Balfour 10 Seb Haddock 11 Will Harris 12 James Povey 13 Josh Stickland 14 Tom Hammond 15 Jack Holmes

Replacements:

16 Paul Childs 17 Sam Behagg 18 Valentine Taylor 19 Tom Humberstone 20 Brook Keats

On Saturday afternoon the Whippets travel to Bagshot in Surrey to take on RMA Sandhurst, kick-off 2.30pm at the Royal Military Academy. As with their ‘Big Brothers’ the Greyhounds, the Whippets will be looking to build upon some strong recent performance as they build towards their ‘Derby Clash’ with Oxford Brookes at Iffley Road on Wednesday 23rd November.

Starting XV:

1 Issac Uwins 2 Ryan Power 3 James Calderwood 4 George Warr 5 Stuart Greeff 6 Fraser Cheetham 7 Tristan Louveaux 8 Saasha Agureev 9 Charles Wells 10 James Baker 11 Hugh Garbutt 12 Brook Keats 13 Mark Fuller 14 Ben Kenworthy 15 Tom Humberstone

Replacements:

16 James Somerville 17 Ben Parker 18 Wilf Sandwell 19 Mark Hanna 20 Christian Holland 21 Will Garson 22 Ross Toward 23 Ed Harris

On Sunday afternoon the Panthers are on the road again for their fifth fixture of the season as they make the trip to south-west London to take on Teddington Ladies, kick-off 2.30pm. With their Varsity Match not until the first Saturday in March, the coaches are using the matches played in this term as a development tool as they look to integrate new players to the club and create a healthy culture to be built on in the New Year.
