Whippets Finish Term On A High

The Whippets brought the curtain down on university rugby at Iffley Road for the Michaelmas Term when they hosted local club side Harwell RFC in the quarter-final of the Oxfordshire County Shield on Friday night. With their ‘Big Brothers’ the Greyhounds already through to the County Cup semi-finals, the ‘Little Dogs’ were determined to join them in the last four of a cup competition and duly delivered with a comprehensive 45 points to 15 victory over the club side. The draw form the semi-finals will take place in the next ten days.
