On Wednesday afternoon in Bath the Women’s Blues brought the curtain down on their highly successful 2016/17 season with a deserved and decisive 27 points to nil victory over Newcastle University to claim the BUCS Vase Trophy, to add to their Varsity victory back in December. Try scorers for Oxford were full-back Sophie Trott, replacement hooker Carolina Matte-Gregory, winger Gemma Robson, second row Leanne Robinson and fly-half Catherine Wilcock who also added one conversion in her last outing as Blues Captain.
