Greyhounds 52 Brunel 5

The Greyhounds welcomed the University of Brunel to Iffley Road on Friday night looking to get back the winning habit after two successive losses to Barnes 2nd XV the previous two Saturday’s. In perfect conditions for running rugby the Hounds did not disappoint, as they scored four tries in each half with only one in reply from the visitors. This was a much improved performance against a spirited and gutsy Brunel outfit who kept going for the full 80 minutes and gave the Hounds a stern examination despite the score line. Next up for the Greyhounds is another university side, as they welcome Bristol University to Oxford next Saturday, this fixture is a ‘Double Header’ with the Whippets also playing Bristol University, both games being hosted by St Edward’s School on the Woodstock Road, kick-off at 2.00pm.
