The second half saw the Blues once again lay siege to the Swansea line, but resolute defence and a lack of precision in attack meant the score didn’t change. ON 60 minutes a Swansea player suffered serious leg injury and paly was held up for 30 minutes whilst she received medical treatment and could be safely taken from the field. The stoppage didn’t help either side and soon after an advantage the Blues had enjoyed was removed as Swansea had to go to uncontested scrums due to front injuries. The remaining 20 minutes play saw both sides battle away but the scoreboard remained the same as Swansea held on secure the win by 10 points to 5.
Next up for the Women’s Blues is the visit of Cardiff Metropolitan University to Iffley Road on Wednesday 14th November, kick-off 6.00pm following the Major Stanley’s Match.
