In the 2018 Major Stanley’s Match at Iffley Road on Wednesday afternoon, the Men’s Blues overcame a young Cardiff side by 27 points to 5 to continue their good run of form and try scoring feats. With a quick turn around form Saturday’s trip to Dublin the squad was rotated to give some of Saturday’s replacements a start and valuable game time as we rapidly approach the ‘business end’ of the season with Varsity now just three weeks away! As such the team took a little while to find their feet but at times they showed exactly what they are capable of and ran in five tries in a fairly comprehensive victory.
The squad now enjoy a few days off to recover from the efforts of Wednesday and Saturday, before preparations begin for the visit of Richmond to Iffley Road on Saturday 24th November, kick-off 2pm in the final game before the 2018 Varsity Match on Thursday 6th December.
