Whippets win Oxfordshire County Shield Final

The Whippets finished their season on a high with a comprehensive 52 points to 7 victory over Oxford RFC at Iffley Road on Saturday afternoon to lift the Oxfordshire County Shield for the second time in three years. The young students proved far too strong for the local club side as they ran in seven tries, all converted by fly-half David Wilkinson who also added a penalty for a 100% record off the tee.

The Whippets ended season 2018/19 as the club’s most successful team with a record of played 10, won 9, lost 1 points for 402, points against 130.
