Have you just received your A Level results and achieved the necessary grades to take up your place at Oxford? If so and you are keen to be involved in rugby whilst at University then we want to hear from you.

There are many opportunities to continue or start your rugby playing journey here at Oxford University. We run three open-age men’s and two women’s university teams, plus there is a full inter-collegiate league and cup programme for the men and a cup competition for the women underpinning the university teams. The pinnacle of rugby playing at Oxford are the Annual Varsity Matches played at Twickenham in December between the respective Men’s and Women’s Blues teams of Oxford and Cambridge.

If your passion is for ‘blowing the whistle’ rather than playing, the we have our own University Referees Society providing opportunities to referee weekly at university or college level, dependant on experience. We also welcome new referees and can offer access to RFU training courses free of charge and mentoring for developing whistle blowers.

Finally, perhaps your passion is for coaching? Once again we can offer opportunities at university and college level to experienced coaches or provide training and opportunities if you are just starting out on the coaching pathway.

With all of the above, in the first instance please email the OURFC General Manager Tom Stevens at tim.stevens@sport.ox.ac.uk

We look forward to hearing from you and welcoming you to the Oxford University Rugby Family.
