The Men’s Blues suffered their second loss to Sydney University in four days with a close loss by 10 points to 5 in the 3rd/4th place play-off match at Kamiigusa, Tokyo on Monday 23rd September. Whilst the squad were disappointed not to gain the bronze medal in Japan, with bigger challenges ahead and ultimately the 2019 Varsity Match, they should be pleased with their efforts and the improvements made in the fourteen days away. The Men’s Blues first match back in the UK will be at Iffley Road on Sunday 6th October, kick-off at 3pm against the Croatian National side.

This match will be preceded by the Women’s Blues who play a friendly against Bath RFC at 12noon in preparation for their first BUCS league fixture on Wednesday 9th October.
