The Men’s Blues welcomed Northampton to Iffley Road on Friday for the third fixture against Premiership opposition on consecutive Fridays and despite another loss there were many positives for Captain Ed David and Coach James Wade to reflect upon. The advent of professional rugby some 24 years ago has seen the fixture challenge for the Blues increase year on year, but each OURFC cohort continue to face this challenge head on and put their bodies on the line each week when representing the Dark Blue jersey.

The final score tonight of 49 points to 8 in favour of the visitors was slightly flattering but a the same time reflective of a Northampton team intent on playing with positivity and a willingness to play with ball in hand, the Blues should take many notes from their opposition tonight!

Then squad now face a short turn-around before the traditional Major Stanley’s Match on Wednesday 13th November, kick-off at 3.45pm.
