OURFC saddened to announce the passing of James Ramsden

OURFC’s oldest surviving Blue, James Ramsden, passed away on Sunday 29th March aged 96, having played in the first Varsity Match after the second world war in December 1945. He attended Eton College before reading Classics at Trinity College and on leaving Oxford went on to enjoy a long and illustrious political career, including serving as the last ever ‘Secretary for War’.
