Sir, While applauding the science of 3D bioprinting (“Pioneering tech signals game over for the curse of cauliflower ears”, Jun 6), I see no reason for this to be promoted as a treatment for the cauliflower ears of rugby front row forwards. In my experience, we old front row forwards wear our cauliflower ears with pride, viewing them as a badge of honour, secure in the knowledge that they will not impair their traditional good looks, attractiveness and charm
