On Saturday afternoon, a crowd in excess of 2000, the largest seen at Iffley Road since 2012, were treated to a feast of open attacking rugby as both teams used near perfect conditions to entertain the noisy local support. The England backs gave notice to their Six Nations opponents of how dangerous they can potentially be, as the National Junior team racked up 54 points to 31 in reply from the Oxford. The Dark Blues pack, certainly gave notice of their strength, none more so than No 8 Euan Friend who bagged himself four tries to cap off a memorable personal performance, with prop Barnaby Vaughan grabbing the fifth Oxford try, with fly-half David Wilkinson converting three.
