This is about Will, right? Right, Will Wright is a new member of OURFC for the 20-21 season and very much hopes to be spending his next few years in Oxford, if only he can get the DPhil funding. Surprisingly, there isn’t a huge amount of money in Roman columns. However, for just £2 a month, you can help Will avoid the real world for four more years and in return, we’ll send you his weekly essays on the nuances of classical architecture.
When Will moved to Oxford in September, he was keen to live in an area with a “bit of edge”; however, he might have bitten off more than he could chew when accosted by his hammer-wielding downstairs neighbour for making too much noise. Luckily, years of rugby have taught him to evade contact at all costs and he managed to escape unscathed. Wisely, he has since moved to an area of Oxford with a bit less edge.
If you weren’t aware, Will was at school with Marcus Smith, where they formed a formidable half back pairing. Unfortunately, that’s not what the Harlequins scouts thought. Will has since transitioned to the back three and has recently become adept operating in teams of three. Will claims to be simultaneously blessed and cursed with rugby ability: he sees it as his duty to play, but he’d much rather be playing golf or cricket or going on long walks with his girlfriend when he gets one.
