Oxford University Rugby Football Club are delighted to share the news that 2001 Men's Captain, Dr. Brett Robinson, has been elected as the new Chair of World Rugby, following two rounds of voting at the 2024 Interim meeting of Council in Dublin, Ireland.
Dr Brett Robinson joined Oxford in 2000 reading a Dphil in Orthopaedics at Wadham College having previously attended the University of Queensland. In his first year at the club he helped the team to a 19-16 victory. For the following season he was elected Captain of the club, leading the team to a second Varsity victory, winning 9-6. He has also captained ACT Brumbies in Super Rugby and has been capped 16 times by Australia.
