Cuppers Finals 2025

As all the students return to Oxford for Trinity term, the biggest priority for many will not be the finals they face in Exam Schools, but those they tackle on Iffley Road on Saturday 10th May.

From Week 0 until Finals Day, we have prepared a training programme with Blues coaches and players offering coaching to men*s and women*s college teams. These sessions are available for anyone looking to get involved in college rugby and we encourage you to find out who your captain is here and get in touch to come along to improve existing skills and learn new ones. We will have tackling and set piece masterclasses as well as open sessions and every skill level is welcome to come and represent your college.

Uni Parks will see all the semi-finals in the weekends before Finals Day, with the Women* kicking us off on Saturday 26th April. The first semi-final will be between the Turl and Parks clusters at 10:30am before Holywell takes on Castle at 1pm. These clusters are newly formed this year, with the geographical groupings creating long-term teams. The teams will be fighting to compete at Iffley Road for the first Cuppers victory among these new clusters.

Saturday 3rd May will have games on both Uni Parks pitches throughout the day as the twelve remaining Men*s teams battle it out to claim one of the six places in the Bowl, Plate, and Cup Finals. The coalition between Exeter, Univ, and Trinity (last year dubbed Trexersity) are up to defend their Bowl victory if they can make it past a fearsome Christ Church side and New College will also have the chance to retain the Cup if they can get past the Saints. Teddy Hall will also be challenging New this year, moving up to compete for the Cup after winning the Plate in 2024.

Finals Day is shaping up to be another fantastic event at Iffley Road, with food and drinks vendors open during all the games and free entry. There will be four matches played over the course of the day, with spectators welcome to come and go to support their colleges. We look forward to seeing you there.
